What would you do with blessed holy objects- like pictures and a crucifix that were intentionally destroyed by someone who was “mad at God” at the time? Just bury/burn them? Or is there something else to do since they were actually desecrated?

I would ask a Priest about what to do with the desecrated objects. I think perhaps a bigger problem is the person who is hurting so much that they commit such an act.

You cannot just throw them away. They must be burned in a “clean place”. The priests will know what to do. Also if you know someone in a monastery talk with them and their priests.
What do priests do with the remaining of Eucharist that hasn’t been used? Old cloths of the altar? That sort of thing is the same as desecrated objects - burned in a proper manner.

For the Host, the priest would consume any extra. Based upon your post, I got the impression that you thought that they would be burned? Am I misunderstanding this?

Blessings

I read that the priests either consume them or burn them in a special way. But this I read on the net…just people saying what they think they know.
So they must be consumed.
What about holy objects when they get deteriorated - like objects that touch the Host during the liturgy? Are they thrown away or burned or otherwise?

I had never heard that Hosts could be burned that’s why I said they were consumed.

I don’t know for sure about other items although burning sounds correct to me.

Blessings

Anything that can be burned is burned, such as cloth, paper, palls, burses/veils, etc.
Since most metallic things that touch the Eucharist are not easily burned, they’re either donated to a diocesean clearinghouse to be refurbished and reused, or buried.
