That’s not what the Bible says. “Let the (utterings of our) lips compensate for the bulls (which used to be sacrificed).” - Hosea 14:3.

Jews will pray at generally 3 times per day on a set regimen tied to the hours of the day. Prayer times in Judaism correspond to the timing during the day when sacrificial offerings were made in the Temple. On the Sabbath, an additional prayer service is added (“Mussaf”) which is in place of the additional animal sacrifice made on the Sabbath in the Temple.

Fasting is also considered a form of sacrifice in Judaism.

You do not need a Temple to make sacrifices. How would you explain, therefore, the holy sacrifice of the Mass said daily in our Catholic churches?

The notion of sacrifice is downplayed.

A better word would be “transformed” as opposed to “downplayed”. The Jewish prayer service is replete with numerous sacrificial offerings said in prayer to replace the physical Temple sacrifices.

I don’t understand why you defend all of this. You are espousing heresy.

That’s a pretty serious accusation. On what grounds? For defending against a patently false argument intended to degrade and denigrate our parent faith, Judaism? That is not heresy. It’s called the Golden Rule which is very much a part of being a Christian.

I am quite certain that after my deathbed that Christ - a Jew - and His Father will be glad that I defended against falsehoods uttered against His holy people. I have no qualms about this kind of defense. Maybe it will make up for my many shortcomings.

If you have substantive arguments, then make your case.
