Last fall I had posted my apprehensions about joining the site -

forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=838530

But after seeing some really cool art I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. And I’m glad I did. I’ve seen lots of inspiring pieces. They even have Catholic groups. And the filtering so far has worked fine in that I’ve not seen any “mature content” pop up. (And no, I have not gone looking for any! Just in case anyone was wondering.)

I’ve also been a member of the Wet Canvas art site which is more a forum like this but people post art there also. On dA there is more emphasis on posting art and the forum seems to play a more secondary role. The two sites are just differently structured, and now I can enjoy them both. I just thought I’d post this so people know that generally dA is not a terrible site. If it’d been up to me, I would have chosen a different name than “deviant,” but I like to think of it as maybe being in the scientific sense. Artists may be a few “standard deviations from the norm,” LOL. 😃

That’s cool, 3Doctors! I’ve definitely seen stuff that I dig on that site, and, really, what’s more “deviant” to most people than Catholicism? So more power to you! I’d actually like to see your work… Is it findable under the handle “3Doctors?” 🙂

I still have an account there. There’s lots of things on there and some things that are not so good.

It gives artists more leeway than say Elfwood, and that is not meant to be derogatory.

Where is the Catholic section? I have had my account there for years, but never really posted anything but a few works.

Pixiv is also now open for Westerners. They have filters for adult stuff.
