There is something about Manhattan…always a bit creepy…

Okay. Wow.

I love the two bits of advice—let go of unforgiveness and to keep your eyes fixed on the cross. Yes yes and yes.

I’ve never seen a possession, although I have seen severe mental illness, both in my patients and in relatives.

One time some years back we were going through a really rough time with a family member and we had done an intervention. One of my atheist relatives said afterward they’d felt something like an evil presence in the home while we were talking to the afflicted person!

This was powerful:

" If we hold on to anger and bitterness, even when we have been mistreated by others, we are giving evil spirits entree into our souls."

I may have seen a possessed person. In the hospital one day I was bringing Communion to the sick. I happened to stop into a room where a Spanish speaking young man was … he said he wanted Communion. After we said a few prayers, I brought out the pyx with the hosts in it. This man started to yell and act up when I opened the pyx and showed him the host. The nurse came in then, and I left.

I’m a very unforgiving person. I’ve prayed for humility (for example, the humility prayer prayed by Justice Clarence Thomas), but the same old “complaints” against family members keep resurfacing.

My grandfather was a Freemason, but I know of no tendencies toward the occult.

Please pray for me.

This man’s testimony is a reminder of the reality of the spiritual world and wicked spirits:

Los Angeles as well. Probably the most inappropriately named city in the history of city-naming.
