Hey, I’m talking with a Pakistani Air Force Veteran. And he and I are talking about some stuff from the bible such as How could Jesus save us on the cross? What can we get from the stories about the immoral actions done in the bible such as Lot having sex with his daughters? Where and who are the currently living people that have raised people from the dead if they have a mustard seed of faith?

He finds it hard to believe that once the people that Jesus resurrected could die and other things I’m trying to remember. My question is how do I answer his questions? I really need answers.

The wages of sin is death and the sacrifice is required to obtain forgiveness. That is why Jesus had to die on the cross so that we all could be saved. First of all Lot is in the old testament. It is part of the old covenant. Also you must realise that we are all sinners. St Augustine fathered two children out of wedlock but became a saint. On that note, Mohammed married Aisha when she was 6 and had sex with her when she was 9. He was 54. He also committed adultery with his servant woman which was supported by Allah. There have been many miracles preformed in the name of Christ. Just look at Lourdes. Maybe no one has been raised from the dead but other miracles with endorsement from doctors have been done.

That is true: I know about Fatima, maybe Guadalupe, as well as about certain exorcisms, some other miracles, I just read a book about St. John Bosco. And for all this knowledge that I have I end up making myself look like an idiot because A) I thought I could rely on myself to explain it and B) my parents definitely don’t want me talking religion in public.
