Did anyone of you watched Faith and Culture show last night on EWTN?

There was an enterview with a professor from Georgetown university. they talked about freedom of the religions. one thing that was confusing was that he said that the CC has said that she no longer states that she has a monopoly in the Truth. all for the sake of freedom of religion. although he said that he believes all that the Church teaches.

well, if the CC denies this Truth, how are we to know the Truth? is the Church saying that we are all good as long we all get along? he stated after VII this statement was made.

correct anyone if i misunderstood the professor.

the show was last night at 11:00 PM.

I did not see the program, nor do I know if you took his words out of context. If you read the document Lumen Gentium from Vatican II, the Council affirmed that there are many truths held by nonCatholics. By virtue of their baptism, they are gifted with the Holy Spirit, Who as we know, “will teach you everything and remind you of all that I [Jesus] told you.” Jn. 14:26

The Church says that while truths are found in other religions, She alone has the fullness of grace.
 
yes, but what he said is that the Church has said that she no longer will say that she has monopoly on the Truth. they were talking mostly about other religions such as muslims, hindus and so forth.
 
If EWTN hosted it then even without hearing the program in question, I would feel most comfortable with whatever content they chose to place in their show.

Same thing. There are truths found in other religions. The Church doesn’t teach that other religions have no truth in them, and that only the Church contains truth.
 
No, this is not the show. the show last night was with a professor of georgetown university.
