Well, let’s summarize, shall we? According to cassini, the Church infallibly declared that the earth is the stationary center of the universe in 1616. Between 1714 and 1835, the Church was taken over by heretics and has been in a state of heresy since. The popes mentioned in cassini’s previous post knew about the problem, but hid it because the Church was wrong in its definition and declaration on heliocentricism.

Now, the current pope, Pope Benedict XVI, either willfully continues the heresy or is ignorant of the heresy (I’m not clear which). However, people like Maurice A. Finocchiaro, Robert Sungenis and our own cassini know the truth.

I would suggest that someone should notify the Holy Father of his error immediately so that he can come back to the Church ASAP. After all, it isn’t a good thing that the pope is a heretic.

A question for you cassini. Have you attempted to contact the Vatican to correct this error?

Can’t cope with the truth Orogeny, can you? I wondered how long it would be before you tried to turn one of the most serious accusations against Churchmen in the Church you say you believe in into the joke you would like it to be.

I note you did not challenge one word of my thesis in your at times inaccurate summary. The truth is that you too are an empty shell, compliments of the Copernican heresy. Finocchiaro is a heliocentricist scholar. Sungenis is a geocentricist but basis his geocentricism on heliocentric science. As far as I am aware he would never dare reach the conclusions that I have regarding Churchmen.

Hopefully there may be some objective readers of this thread who will see that the only opposition to my thesis are pathetic suggestions expressed above. What has gotten into Catholics today when reigning popes are elivated ABOVE TRUTH, like GODS in the Vatican. Popes are as liable to mistakes outside their infallibility as any men. Every single move in the infamous U-turn had no spiritual protection or endorsement to it Vatican I said Peters are not elected to CHANGE truths, but to protect them. And this 35 years after Peters CHANGED the truth advocating a heresy instead. The infallible teaching was Catholic but the practice at the time had changed a teaching.

I shall no longer respond to papal drivel.

At last, someone with a true understanding of the limits of a pope. Today however, after John Paul II, popes are adored like pop-stars, they can do no wrong in the Modernists eyes and everything they say must be complied with as the word of God. Orogeny, your mission is to follow the truth, not popes who reject the Church’s teaching - because it was embarrassing in the eyes of academia - without question. You demonstrated you know nothing about the 1616 decree - defined and declared by the Church of Christ by the way, You could not rebut any of the canonical arguments for its remaining status in the Church, and would prefer to follow ‘the Church of Christ’. Now you know what I meant by a hollow shell of Catholicism, you couldn’t recognise the ‘Church of Christ’ if it hit you on the face.

Please list the infallible Church teaching that the Earth neither orbits the sun nor rotates. Please interpret these documents in light of the teaching of infallibility found in Vatican I.

Orogeny, why can’t you ask a question withour answering it yourself. I can record the Church’s definition and declaration and quote Vatican I that fully supports this decree on the true interpretation of Scripture. But you know what, it would be wasted on you and 99.999% of other posters because you hold science to be more informed than the faith you claim to hold.

I am going to walk the dog now so if you want a question answered ask it without answering it yourself. It simply shows no matter what evidence I would produce you have already rejected it.
