Did/Do any Eastern Churches accept the idea of Limbo?

hi,
Just to add to what’s been discussed in this thread, I heard
it taught by Catholic Apologists that those infants who died
without actual sin wherever they are are PRAYING to God
for their parents since they haven’t been born yet or weren’t
socializing yet! There are graves in Poland, I think where
a priest arrived to bless the graves of the departed and when
he approached the section where the babies were buried,
the believers told him NOT to bless those graves, be-
cause they were “holy”!

Just to clarify my source:
iIt was from the Article “Let the CHildren Come to Me”
by apologist Matthew A C Newsome. in the Catholic.com
home site.

One can never be too holy. He should bless them anyway.

I have always thought that Limbo was only believed in the West. Eastern Churches (whether or not in communion with Rome) never got on-board with Limbo.

Was the idea of Limbo ever accepted in the East?
Limbo was never an accepted Churth teaching in either the West or the East.

Scripture DOES tell us that the dead are
“asleep”, (Jesus and St. Paul). If the Church
does not have a teaching about limbo, then
rely on Scripture!

This goes for all that die, that they fell asleep in the Lord, as we say in the East. But this only describes the physical nature of a person, not his soul. Because eventually our soul will be reunited with our bodies and will be awaken. Then we all will be judged.
