Did/does Jesus still feel pain after the Resurrection?

It’s pretty much a given that Jesus suffered greatly during his scourging and Crucifixion, yet after His Resurrection he invited Thomas to put his hand in Jesus’s side. Did His pain end with the Resurrection? Also, is it reasonable to assume He still had His other wounds from the crown of thorns and scourging? I recall no mention of those after the Resurrection. Is there any teaching on whether he still feels the same pain?

Thank you.

Glorified bodies aren’t the same as physical bodies. Jesus could do things with his glorified body such as eat and walk around, but he didn’t feel pain. Once you are in your glorified body, you can’t be ill or injured or die - you’ve already died once and been raised.

Regarding these, there have been private revelations where people saw visions of Jesus with the marks on His forehead from the crown of thorns in addition to the “five wounds”. I don’t know about the scourging marks.

I would add that in a vision to St Bernard, it was revealed that Jesus suffered a dreadful shoulder wound, from carrying the cross. It is also remarkable that in Padre Pio’s stigmata, the shoulder wound was also present.

No. Once a person has died, they can no longer feel suffering except on account of their own sin. Ditto for after resurrection.

I recall reading from the writings of a saint, possibly Faustina, that the lord suffers pain from our sins.

There are also private revelations of Jesus appearing as a child. The glorified body seems to be capable of altering its own appearance.

The worst one I heard about was one of Jesus appearing in his Mother’s arms as a child who had been beaten and tortured and Mary was crying about it. The visionary was reportedly very disturbed by that one. I can see why.
