Did God ordain the death of Christ?

A Calvinist is saying God ordains sin, in which case I completely disagree and said that God ordained the crucifixion of Christ? Would you say God ordained Christ’s death on the cross? She said the murdering of God’s own son was 100% ordained by God in every detail and quotes Acts 2:28 and 4:28. What is your response to this?

I think your Calvinist is misrepresenting Calvinism.

The Calvinist response is that God does not ordain sin. He allows it, and uses it for His glory, but He is by no means the author of evil or the creator of sin.

However, God did ordain the death of Christ as it was/is/will be His eternal plan for the salvation of mankind.
 
But Christ as the perfect Man had absolutely perfect Free Will, so Christ willingly, knowingly, died for our sins.

There is ONLY One God, One Devine [same shared Divine Nature] and three persons comprise the Trinty. Co-equal in everyway! What one desires all desire.

How ever Christ had two natures, Divine and Human. See the teaching of the Hypostatic union for more detail. There are three distinct Persons of the Trinity, yet God is inseperable and infinitely simple :confused:. That is the Mystery of the Holy Trinity. and it’s beautiful!

I do not understand this. It is a mystery.

I think one needs to meditate seriously on this. Everything that happens is God’s will, He is all-powerful.
Yet man has free-will.

Jeus said not my will but yours be done.

The Scriptures were fulfilled with the death of Christ.

And here friend is the precise reason humanity has mind, intellect, and freewill.

Isaiah 43: “Do not withhold; bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth, 7 every one who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

Isaiah 43: 21 “the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.”

We are created to know, love and serve God in this life so we may be with Him for all eternity in the next life.

God sent His beloved Son to suffer horribly and die to pay the price exacted by God’s Own justice for the grace which saves mankind. So, the torture and murder of Christ was 100% ordained.

God does not ordain sin. But, when He created us, He knew that without grace we would invariably sin.

Grace is really “the final ingredient.”
