I was telling someone the channel of a show that I thought was immoral but I figured that what I did was not totally willed since I could never do such a thing.

But when I finished telling the other person I realized, I did do it -it was done and with a sureness of action that made me think it was willing despite my opinion that it wasn’t willing.

So do you think I purposefully did it?

Only you can answer that.

imo: you wanted to name the channel, thinking it was immoral; yes. It appears you Did something you never thought you could: It’s The Intention and the Doing.

People can be wrong about anything
But mental states are a thing
So I can be mistaken about my own mental states.

And if someone knows whats true, then it follows that it is possible for someone to know my own mind better than me.

So its not so unreasonable to ask for someone what I asked. And granted that its not possible to read minds, still I’m just asking for an opinion not total certain knowledge -I need some help with this problem and if no one else can help me I’m not sure I can do any better.

I do not know your mind better than you do.

I think you should get away from the philosophy mumbo jumbo and step into the real world! 👍

  1. if someone doesn’t know someone else’s mind better than that someone then the arguments in epistemology, philosophy of mind, etc. don’t tell us anything we didn’t already know about our mental states which is entirely false. Secondly then God wouldn’t know our minds better than we do -also false, and third we know that everyone desires God in a confused way, but some people would deny this, yet they are people so they must confusedly desire God even though they claim not to. So in this way the theologian knows even people’s desires better than the people themselves know it.
  2. I’m just asking for opinions on how/what I thought, not certain truth.

I’m going to use it to help me too.
