Did I leave too fast?

I went to RCIA about nine years ago. The instructor said that the New Testament was “table
conversations between Christian” and the book of Genesis was “myth”.

I ran out. Years later, I see the faith of many good Catholics. No one would be so devoted for a conversation or mythological book And I wonder if the Cathedral
in my area is different, or is it how most Catholics think.

Dear friend,

What you were taught in RCIA was NOT what the Catholic Church teaches. Actually, what most Catholics believe ought to be in line with what the Church actually teaches. I suggest that you purchase a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. You can rely on what you read there to be orthodox Catholic teaching.
