Did I really fall?

For a while I have been struggling with masturbation And today I was using the bathroom. I won’t give any gross details but I touched myself and before I knew it kinda happened. I was trying not to have any impure thoughts and I was thinking about having to go to confession if I masturbated. Then It kinda happened. Did I commit a mortal sin Please help!! I want to be pure!!!

Did you have an impure moment? It would appear so. I would suggest you do everything you can to avoid obsessive thoughts about “whether or not this was a mortal sin.”

“Come now, let us settle the matter,”

Just want to clarify that Confession is still needed here (I would imagine so anyway). Otherwise, a good post. Isiah 1:18 always gave me comfort as well.
