Here is my delimma. My husband has wanted a vasectomy for three plus years I did not want him to and told him I would not consent to it or sign any papers or take him to any appointments as I did not want to be a part of it. Our children are nine, six, four, two and one will be born in January. My husband has been pressuring me to consent and sign the paperwork for three plus years especial after two year old was born and now with this pregnancy. He has tried several doctors to have this done but none would touch it because of husbands medical issues. He did find a doc recently who would do it. Since my husband has been so hard to live with the past several years because of my not consenting and his joking about other women etc. I did sign the paperwork and went along with him to the doc. I told him I still did not believe this was morally right and was willing to keep using NFP. He refuses to consider it. I am 40 years old and I told him we don’t have that many fertile years left anyway. It does not matter to him. So he went ahead with it and I took him to the doc and brought him home. I still do not agree. Am I in mortal sin in helping my husband to sin? Can I go to communion? I don’t know what to do?
