Jesus absolutely died for everyone: each of us and all of us without exception.

We are called to die to sin and live for Christ (in baptism). Christ asks us to love all men for His sake. Hence we love Christ best by loving other men/people, even our enemies but especially our fellow Christians:

A new commandment I give unto you: That you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another.

Absolutely!!! BUT not everyone will accept this or belive in him. Therefore not ALL will be accepted into heaven.

I think that it is correct to say that the Lord died for all yet for the salvation of many.

Jesus did die for all, for the forgiveness of sin. And, as noted above, we must freely accept or reject this, so that salvation is for the many.

We are called to live (and die, if it comes to that) with love for all–remember the two greatest commandments: To love God with all your strength, all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:28-34). Another form of the second commandment is given in John 13: Love one another as I have loved you. If we are to love as Jesus loved, that means giving ourselves utterly for other persons. Even if it leads to our death.

Still, God allows and encourages us to grow to such deep and total love. We may not yet be quite there.

Technically… yes!

…but there’s a huge chasm between technical and actual… though Christ, the Word Incarnate, came to rescue man, not all would accept the term (St. John 3:14-21).

…and yes… but technically Jesus said that giving your life up for your friends was the measure of the greatest Love… so this, from my perspective, indicates that Jesus in deed want man to be His Friend… and expects us to want the same… reality check: we are way selfish and seldom consider anyone outside of our immediate circle worthy to receive material gifts, let alone our lives (personal involvement, love, care…); so we are a work in progress, as it was mentioned above!

Jesus died for everyone, and so salvation is available to everyone, and therefore we do not need to die for everyone or anyone since Jesus’ passion suffices for all.

But we are called to suffer a death to the things of this world and to live for the things of the next to follow him…
