Did Jesus empty himself of his divinity?

Our priest said that Jesus emptied himself of his divinity. That he did not know that he was divine until after his resurrection. If he emptied himself of his divinity, doesn’t that mean that Mary isn’t the Mother of God? Austinclan
 
Hi,

If by saying that Jesus emptied Himself of His divinity he means that He didn’t know who He was, He is defying Scripture and two thousand years of Church teaching. People who say this tend to be having a problem with faith. Let us pray for your priest and the people he influences.
