Well I don’t think he spent 30 years sitting around twiddling his thumbs educationally speaking.
Tradition of course is that Joseph being a carpenter, Jesus learned the same trade. Might mean that he didn’t get much of a secular education - though if he could read in the synagogue he was obviously literate. I don’t know if everyone was in his day - hence the profession of scribe (people needed others to write for them).
But you’d better believe all devout Jews placed, and still place, a very high emphasis on religious education for sure!
