My little sister told me that she was disturbed when she heard her Catholic school teacher say that Jesus was attracted to Mary Magdalene, and that he had to “control his desires” of attraction to women, and made a decision to become celibate.
I realize that Jesus made a decision to become celibate and that this was his choice, but where did the teacher get the idea that Jesus was attracted to Mary Magdalene … is it okay to say that?? Is it even okay to say that Jesus had to “control” his attraction for women?
If the teacher is in error, any information that can help my sister confront this teacher would be helpful.
