I heard it said that some Christians believe that Mary did not feel pain while giving birth to Jesus. Was she saved from the heart wrench and anguish seeing her son go through the torture leading up to the crucifixion, and even while the time he was on the cross. I just cannot full grasp the depth of the pain she could have felt and feeling that there is no way she could have saved her son. Totally feeling powerless during that day.
