I’m in a discussion with a Protestant friend and the general subject in question is the status of Mary held by the Catholic Church.
The point he’s making is that if Mary remained perpetually a virgin, she never had marital relations with Joseph. Sounds like either she sinned by withholding relations, or did have relations. The two scriptural references he makes are Mark 10:6-9 and Ephesians 5:24.
As faithful Catholics how do we reconcile these?
