I read a previous post that a Catholic and an unbaptized person cannot have a Catholic nuptial Mass. My husband and I had such a wedding 13 years ago (I have since converted). How was my husband affected by this given that the priest is the one who allowed it to happen? Was he unknowingly in a state of sin all those years?

No. It is the priest who should have known that a nuptial Mass can only be celebrated when both the bride and the groom are baptized Christians, and it is he who bears any culpability that exists for celebrating a nuptial Mass for a Catholic and an unbaptized person. Only if you and your husband deliberately withheld from the priest the information that you were unbaptized could you and your husband share culpability. (Even then, one must ask why a priest who didn’t know whether or not you were baptized apparently didn’t require from you a baptismal record.)
