With the current situation it got me thinking about it.

For a minute, I thought the titile said Pope Benedict XVI. I was just going to reply with “How old do you think he is?”

There were many cases where local districts closed schools and suspended church services. I found this one referring to the archdiocese of Philadelphia.

There didn’t seem to be any underground ‘clandestine’ movement to defy bishops back then though. They just got on with being charitable Catholic faithful caring for others.
