Did Pope Linus was mentioned in the bible?

4:21. Make haste to come before winter. Eubulus and Pudens and “Linus” and Claudia and all the brethren, salute thee.

Did Pope Linus “the second Pope after Peter” was mentioned in the bible?

If its so, why protestans dont belvie in the apostolic succesion??
 
From the Catholic Encyclopedia:
The Roman list in Irenaeus has undoubtedly greater claims to historical authority. This author claims that Pope Linus is the Linus mentioned by St. Paul in his II Timothy 4:21. The passage by Irenaeus (Adv. haereses, III, iii, 3) reads: After the Holy Apostles (Peter and Paul) had founded and set the Church in order (in Rome) they gave over the exercise of the episcopal office to Linus. The same Linus is mentioned by St. Paul in his Epistle to Timothy. His successor was Anacletus. We cannot be positive whether this identification of the pope as being the Linus mentioned in II Timothy 4:21, goes back to an ancient and reliable source, or originated later on account of the similarity of the name.

I read Eusebius of Cesarea on his book he confirm that its the same Linus

Catalogue of the Bishops of Rome.
  1. "The blessed apostles having founded and established the church, entrusted the office of the episcopate to Linus. Paul speaks of this Linus in his Epistles to Timothy. 2 Timothy 4:21
  2. Anencletus succeeded him, and after Anencletus, in the third place from the apostles, Clement received the episcopate. He had seen and conversed with the blessed apostles, and their preaching was still sounding in his ears, and their tradition was still before his eyes. Nor was he alone in this, for many who had been taught by the apostles yet survived.

Well, if I didnt believe in it, I would probaly argue that just because his name is mentioned doesn’t mean that he succeeded Peter as Bishop of Rome, the quote also mentions Claudia and Eubulus and Pudens.
 
😛 well that shows that he was a contributor of Paul, that our faith and that the sucecion of Peter is based on apostolic teachings.
