Did she ask me out?

OK, a little update. I met her at a public place, and since it was early, we went to get coffee and sat and chatted a bit before heading off to Bible study. After Bible study, I dropped her off at her place. So yea, I’m pretty sure she’s interested. In fact, it really went beyond my expectations; I had fun, and I think she did, too. Before the evening ended, she and I had already planned out 3 other things to do together. We’re planning to go to Mass together this weekend - turns out she and I go to the same church - so we’ll see what happens. Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone again for their (name removed by moderator)ut.

Hehe, great. Congratulations. I’m really happy to hear it went well for you. Still don’t assume, since a good friendship is not worth losing over unsuccessful expectations of romance. It may still turn either way, but whichever way it turns, you will have a worthy companion. 😉 Be nice to her and don’t push the boundaries. Remember girls like flowers. Just don’t be too pushy with it. 😉

Thanks! Yea, that’s exactly why I went in with no expectations. And really, it’s way too early to tell where it’s headed, so I’m just gonna play it by ear, and leave it in God’s hands. One thing I would disagree with you slightly on is the subject of pushing boundaries. I don’t mean physical boundaries, but if you want to keep things interesting, you got to keep pushing the boundaries a bit. Certainly you don’t want to make her uncomfortable, so it’s a very tough balancing act, but you don’t want to come off as being boring, either. And thing is, when it’s this early on, it’s the perfect time to find what the boundaries are, and the only way of finding out is by pushing them. In my case, I’m just trying to be a gentleman. That said, I suppose I do at times come off as being a bit pushy, so it is something that I need to work on.

Yes, agreed, on the first part especially. Just don’t do it for its own sake. It’s probably a better experience if you let it develop naturally. You don’t really know what her boundaries are per se, either. Of course, you will notice if she allows for more eye contact or is more comfortable hugging you or some such, but you don’t really need a study for that and neither do you need to p(name removed by moderator)oint your exact standing with her with perfect accuracy. 😉

OK, a little update on this situation. I didn’t hear from her for over a month after seeing her last time, but I just got an email from her, and in it, she apologized profusely and wanted to see me again soon. Not quite sure what to make of it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

be very careful with this. let it progress on its own.

Things happen… see her again. She may have gotten cold feet last time. Take it slow and ask Christ to guide both of you in this relationship wherever it may end up 👍

She isn’t obsessive, but she cares. A good thing.

She owuldn’t apologise profusely if she didn’t care.

OK, looks like the consensus is that I should go out with her again. I just sent her an email to that effect. Thank you all for your advice!
A MONTH??? I think you should have called her sometime… :tsktsk:
Well, I did, but she didn’t get back to me until then, and that’s why she was apologizing. The thing is, I do like this girl, so, you know.
