Didn't God change when Christ became incarnate?

I was always taught that God doesn’t change. But if Christ became incarnate, didn’t the Second Person of the Trinity change? He then had a human nature in addition to His divine nature. The only way that I can see that God didn’t/hasn’t changed would be if the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity had a human nature from His “birth.” I am confused. Can you help?

Hi,

In His divine nature God cannot change. His divine nature did not change when He took on a human nature. Making changes outside of His divine nature does not change that nature at all–as when He created the universe. Also, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity never had a beginning. He has been eternally begotten of the Father. But His human nature did have a beginning and underwent many changes.
