So I’m reading an argument between a catholic and a protestant, and I’m getting confused. They are referencing “acts” “deeds” “good works” and “works”(which I think means sacraments like confession and the Eucharist). What’s the difference here? When the bible says, for instance, that “faith without works is dead”, (James 2:20) does it mean stuff like confession and the Eucharist?
