Different titles for the Virgin Mary?

I am having a hard time understanding why the Blessed Virgin Mary has so many different names. For example, for my Brown Scapular she is Our Lady of Mt.Carmel, but I have also heard her called Our Lady of Altagracia, Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Sorrows, etc. I know it is just a specific place where she did something miraculous, but I want to know why there are so many names for her.

It seems to be something like the many facets of a jewel. Each one allows us to see her goodness from a different angle!

It’s common - people of great stature in political or social life tend to gain bucketloads of titles or honours as well - multiple regular or honorary university degrees, mutiple titles, medals, prizes and awards … why not those who are important in our faith too?

Then think of all the different titles there are for Jesus himself - Emmanuel, Christ, Son of God, Son of David, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, ‘Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace’, ‘The First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega’ etc etc.
