Difficulties with employment

Hi Anglewannabe,

I am so sorry for your frustration.

I understand about the networking. Sometimes it doesn’t work out like we hope that it will.

You are asking if you should stay with your professional networking group or not? I am all for making a fresh start, if you are thinking that things are bothering you there in your current group.

Is there a similar group that meets elsewhere, like in the next town over? If there is, why not try going to a different group, if there is another one around? That is what I would consider doing, if I was unhappy with the place that I was currently going to.

I would consider a change but that is where prayer comes in. I pray for guidance. I don’t want to just go for the ‘quick fix’ only to end up in the wrong spot. Some of my skills are transferrable but depending on the path I choose, I would need more education perhaps which I would do at night

oh I agree. It took a long time for me to make a decision mainly b/c I didn’t want to make the same mistake again. I guess it comes down to whether or not you are happy with the field you chose. I really wasn’t and now I’m very glad I couldn’t find a position in it…I only work part time b/c I stay at home with my kids during the day and my job allows for a ton of flexibility.
