So there is a person who I offered to do a drawing for and they requested I draw an Icon of Christ the Teacher. I actually don’t draw icons (I’m a fantasy/sci fi/childrens illustrator) and I’ve never drawn a byzantine icon. I asked him if it was ok if it was in a different style and he said it was, but now I am having difficulty with it.
I have avoided doing religious images of Christ because I am not sure how to adequately depict His personality. I also have baggage due to my Scrupulosity that makes Me very afraid of Him. For most of my life I have not seen Him the way children see him, but as someone who is not pure enough to be a true Disciple (and may be a Pharisee) sees him. I feel like I have always failed to love Him more than myself, and while I have been able to have a stronger lover for Him through the Divine Mercy Chaplet depicting Him as a teacher is opening up some old wounds.
I wanted to ask for prayer that I might successfully fulfill this request.
