How did the early Greek speaking and writing Fathers understand the term “dikaioo”?

Please forgive my lack of scholarship, were there dictionaries in Biblical times?

The idea of Dikaioo (justification) has many dimensions. An entire book could be written in reply to your question. Which aspect are you particularly interested in? I would presume you are inquiring about the whole “justified by faith” aspect (which Luther intrepreted to mean to the exclusion of works). But you could be asking about the effects of justification on the soul (renewal, sin, etc).

You will need to be a little more specific - for example, “by the term 'justification,” did the Early Fathers understand that humanity shares in the divine nature?"

Actually, one of the first known dictionaries is De Significatu Verborum, a Latin dictionary of difficult and archaic terms by Marcus Verrius Flavius, written during the reign of Augustus and later abridged by Sextus Pompeius Festus.

Are you you talking about the Heideggerian ontic/ontological distinction? You’ll have to explain your question a little better, since in non-philosophical discussion ontic and ontological basically have the same meaning.
