The other day I posted a message in this section titled “Catholic Presidential Canfidates”. I got two emails from the forum indicating people had responded to it. But when I went into the forum to read the responses, the thread had disappeared. I sent an email to the forum management for an explanation, but didn’t get a response. There was nothing controversial in my post so I can’t imagine why it was removed. Does this happen often? If anyone knows anything please advise.

There was probably something awful in someone else’s post. it might not have anything to do with you. Or, maybe the OP broke some sort of forum rule for posting as new thread.

That topic is sure to come up another 100 times before next year.

I think that all the political discussions are supposed to be in the World News forum.

Also if you even remotely looked like you endorsed a candidate you are throwing up a red flag.

I had a post removed when I asked about a US politician being excommunicated by a Cardinal. I reposted the same question without he specific names and the thread stayed up the second time.

Politics may** only **be discussed in the News Forum.

Please see the Forum Rules

To start a new thread in the World News Forum, one needs to have a valid new link from a decent news source (NOT CNS News).

That topic is sure to come up another 100 times before next year.
Hopefully, folks will realize it’s a confined topic to News Forums.

Note: this thread is also more appropriate for STAFF CHAT.
