We watched last evening - good show. Did anyone else catch it?

As someone with dwarfism, some of these type of shows are good, some not - Discovery Health and the production company did a good job IMHO.

I’d like to hear the opinion of those outside the “dwarfism” community.

Thanks.

I didn’t see that one, but I did catch the one about the little girl who was born with the worst documented case of Treacher-Collins Syndrome - it was called “Born Without A Face”. It was heartbreaking but inspiring at the same time, and talk about a lesson in valuing life and carrying your crosses…

It was actually unusual for me to watch one of those Discovery shows. To be honest, the titles always really turned me off because they seem exploitative, almost like they’re making carnival freak shows out of people, so I’m glad to hear from someone who lives with one of those issues and has good things to say about the programs. A friend of my brother has dwarfism - I also knew him because we were all in high school at the same time, and he was always a friendly guy who never complained or made excuses despite the pain of the cross he was given. Eventually he became quite successful as a physician and is happily married - a very inspiring person. I still really hope that Discovery continues to treat the subjects of these programs with respect and not just to grab ratings.
