An archaeological dig near Jerusalem unearthed a building belonging to an ancient settlement thought to be on the site of Eglon.

According to the Bible, the city fought against the Israelites as part of a coalition of five Amorite kings and was later listed as belonging to the tribe of Judah.

I would not trust this guy’s work…several years ago he made a documentary with James Cameron (of “Titanic” fame) making the case that the Talpiot tomb contained the ossuary housing the bones of Jesus, Mary Magdalane, - and Jesus’s “son” Judah…

Interesting archaeological dig. The kingdom of David extended form Sidon in the North to Kadesh in the South.
 
I’m glad they are “proving” what we knew to be true all along, since Jesus didn’t come from a non-existent “house” and Joseph didn’t have a non-existent ancestor.
