This thread will be a discussion thread as a COMPANION to the Eastern Chrisitanity Saints & Feasts thread.

This is where members will be welcome to DiSCUSS AND/OR REFLECT on the Saints OR the Scripture posted for that particular day.

As long as there is discussion going on, this thread will be posted as a STICKY.

These are the two threads to start your discussion:

November 29

November 30

In the Epistle for today (1 Corintians 4 9-18), I found the following verses interesting:

*12 and we labor, working with our own hands. When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure;
13 when slandered, we try to conciliate; we have become, and are now, as the refuse of the world, the offscouring of all things. *

Paul is telling those in Corinth that you may be treated in this manner but they are highly looked at in Christ’s eyes. One translation that our pastor read today for verse 13 stated that “and now, as the scum of the world.”

I just found it interesting that Jesus had predicted that 'they hated Me before they hated you." I think this is an example of that Jesus fortold.

Including the dates listed in an above post, this date is now added for discussion and/or reflection.

December 1
