…But if you want to become Catholic, that’s means that you believe in Apostalic Succession of the Church and not of the Anglician/ECUSA, therefore, you shouldn’t be receiving communion…just maybe, the devil is using that to keep you away from the Catholic Church.

Just an observation.

God bless you, and I will pray for you!
The devil can use Holy Eucharist as a weapon…?! 😦

I searched for a few prayers for you … I hope that at least one of them will be helpful to you. I’ll be praying for you as well! 🙂 :harp:
Morwenna, I love those prayers! Especially the Ignatius Loyola one and the Night Prayer. Thank you.

I am so glad that you liked them 🙂 I tried to find some that might help a bit with your sleeplessness. I’ve been praying the one by Saint Macarius lately before going to sleep.

I hope that each new day will be a bit brighter for you than the last 🙂

I would think that by you being drawn to go to the ECUSA and receive communion rather than wait on the real Blessed Sacrament, yes, the devil can use those emotions to keep you away…thinking… well, maybe I shouldn’t become Catholic because I can just go to the EC and receive communion, it’s the same, blah, blah, blah…

that’s what I meant…not Using the Eucharist itself against, just using your thoughts.

Does that make sense?

i have felt this often. But then i got this revelation that the reason i felt that way was because poeple had abandoned me (and in some ways, i had abandoned myself, as it were). It is SO easy to begin to feel, on a subconscious level, that because people don’t appreciate/like/love you, God feels basically the same way. The head tells us otherwise, but the heart, well, that’s a differnet story.
As they say in AA: The longest journey you will ever take is the one between your head and your heart.
Do you keep a journal? I find this very helpful. I just write down whatever i want to write, whatever is on my heart. And i write as long as i need to in order to “get things out”. You can then throw it away or lock it away or whatever… but you have to be free to write whatever you feel & some who may find your journal may not understand… (etc.).
Another thing: Have you ever spend time with Jesus @ the Blessed Sacrament & just listened, without syaing much of anything, at least for several minutes or so? He shows us things if we are open and listen.
Pryaing for you.

I’m not an Episcopalian, and I never have been. I’ve been a part of the Anglican Church of the Chesapeake (a small Anglican denomination present in Maryland and Texas, with valid Orders, and connection to the Church of Nigeria.)

Oh, I get it. It would be better for me to recieve Communion licitly at St.Mary, Refuge of Sinners Roman Catholic Church than illicitly at St.Andrew Anglican Church?

I wish I could, but no Roman Catholic Church (local) has Eucharistic Adoration that I know of. They have perpetual Eucharistic Adoration at St.Andrew Anglican Church (my Anglican church) twice a year, all week in Passion Week, and on Corpus Christi.

(I wish I could take the Eucharist home, but I know this is against church rules, both Anglican and Roman. 🤷 )

It was allowed in the early years of the Church…

Also: I don’t believe most of the Anglican churches have the Real Presence. The only way they could have it is if the one who consecrated it had been a Catholic priest (one is a priest forever…)…
