There is no majority, no one is near a majority and there is so much culture blending.
I get it, I get it. The first set of responses to the original post suggested that "isolation* was the issue, not diversity. The assumption seemed to be that if a person is not part of the majority culture (-locally–at the neighborhood level–not nationally), then that person may well feel isolated. This is what I was challenging. You saying you live in a neighborhood so diverse no group makes up half of it is grist for my mill.

Of course, if the life-expectancy of Mexian-Americans and African-Americans in your neighborhood falls far below what it would be in a more ethnically dense neighborhood, it could turn out the “blending” you witness is not as beneficial as you might think. ( I don’t claim to know one way or the other.)
