Divine Mercy Novena

Are you supposed to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet along with the prayers of the novena? I’d always assumed so, but this will be my first year praying the novena and all the sites where I’ve looked for the prayers make no mention of the chaplet, just the prayers for the various souls.

Since it is a private devotion, nothing is mandated, and there are several slight variations as to which prayers accompany the chaplet, even among the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, who are the custodians of the Divine Mercy devotion. However, to best answer your question, yes, most people who pray the Divine mercy novena typically pray the prayers along with it.
