Do you think that the Feast of Divine Mercy, being so new to the Church, is an important sign of the times in which we live? Consider these entries from St. Faustina’s Diary:

*You will prepare the world for My final coming. (Diary 429)

Speak to the world about My mercy … It is a sign for the end times. After it will come the Day of Justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fountain of My mercy. (Diary 848)

Tell souls about this great mercy of Mine, because the awful day, the day of My justice, is near. (Diary 965).

I am prolonging the time of mercy for the sake of sinners. But woe to them if they do not recognize this time of My visitation. (Diary 1160)

Before the Day of Justice, I am sending the Day of Mercy. (Diary 1588)

He who refuses to pass through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice. (Diary 1146).*

And, from Our Lady:

You have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Him who will come, not as a merciful Savior, but as a just Judge. Oh how terrible is that day! Determined is the day of justice, the day of divine wrath. The angels tremble before it. Speak to souls about this great mercy while it is still the time for granting mercy. (Diary 635).

Wouldn’t this feast serve as a great opportunity for evangelizing and does it not speak to our times?

We are not obliged to believe in private revelations, but I think this is a message for our times

So many have grown cold toward the Eucharist and deny the teachings of the church

I went to this devotion and the piety that I saw was so heartening…The church was filled with young families…The lines for confession went on for hours, and I do mean hours

God is at work moving among us

I agree completely. It just seems to me that with 2,000 years of history the Church never formally declared that feast day until JPII did so in 2000AD. Couple that with the amazing statements made by Christ as retold by Saint Faustina, and it sure would appear that we are living in very unique times. The following statement is incredible imo:

I am giving them the last hope of salvation; that is, the Feast of My Mercy. If they will not adore My mercy, they will perish for all eternity… tell souls about this great mercy of Mine, because the awful day, the day of My justice, is near.

“I bear a special love for Poland, and if she will be obedient to My will, I will exalt her in might and holiness. From her will come forth the spark that will prepare the world for My final coming.”

Think about that…the last hope of salvation is the Feast of Divine Mercy…and in the second quote Pope John Paull II be the person being spoken of?
