I know many of you have already found this, But I am a little slow and just discovered it a week ago. I started saying the Liturgy of the Hours at the beginning of the year and had been looking for the pre-conciliar versions. This Site has many of the various Breviaries including the 1960 version allowed as the Extraordinary form. You can also download the material to your computer and have the Breviary with you without logging on.

Excellent stuff! I’ll be sure to try it out when I’m not praying the breviary communally.

The Liturgy of the Hours is the second most powerful of the prayers of the catholic Church. The first being the celebration of the Eucharist.

Since I have been praying the Liturgy of the Hours, I realize the power in simply knowing that I am not alone. Throughout the world millions of other people are praying these same prayers with me. totally Awesome !!!

I wouldn’t get your hopes up quite yet. That “Forthcoming Titles” page has listed the 1962 Breviary for almost 5 years now. I’ve actually been meaning to phone them to ask them if they’re at any liberty to put a rough date on its publication. Thanks for the reminder!
 
Hello Roman Breviary experts:

Does anyone know the difference between the different versions on the Divinum Officium site? I’m referring to the:
  • Divino afflatu version
    – pre-trident monastic
  • Rubrics 1960
  • Trident 1570 version
    – trident 1910
    – reduced 1955
If you pray the traditional Divine Office, which one do you pray?

They listed an anticipated ship date of August 2011, but the last update on the page is from August 30, 2011 saying that their printers have had issues with typhoons (?). No updates since then, thought the sample pages look great.
