 As a divorced male Catholic what kind of sin would I be committing if I were to have a sexual relationship with a divorced female Catholic?

One you don’t want to commit. If you do so you’ll only make the problem worse, not only with your relationship with God, but also with your life here on earth. I know thats a tough one to obey, but trust and be faithful and you’ll be more blessed than you could think otherwise.

Think of it this way. You could disobey the rules and drive down the wrong lane. You put yourself at risk as well as the others, of death or injury. You make others lose their trust that the roads are safe. You get into bad habits, think that it is ok. Eventually if enough people disregard the rules of the road, no one is free to go anywhere in the city. If you get anywhere, you put yourself at huge risk and it takes even longer.

So please don’t do it. I’m sure you both are lonely, make sure you go out and make as mean meaningful relationships with as many different types of people as possible. Tough I know, I’ll pray for you.

But if you’re hung up on labels, you’d be committing adultery by cheating on your wife, and helping your “lover” cheat on her husband. Unless, of course, the divorced woman in question is your "ex-"wife.

to be technical, adultery, since you are both married to other people.

And, now that you’ve read the posts, a mortal sin as well, knowing that the action is grave matter, and you would be engaging in it with full knowledge of the gravity, and with full consent of your will.

Is it worth the temporary “gratification” of your senses, to lose your eternal soul–and risk her losing hers as well?

Even without the adultery, if neither of you had ever been married you would still be committing the mortal sin of fornication.

The Mortal sins of Fornication and Adultery.

(The divorce.)

Not an exceptable alternative to disiplened responcibility.

No sinle male parent can teach his daughte how to be a woman.

No single female parent can teach her son how to be a man.

Children of divorce are not likely to teach there children those things that thay have not learned themselves.

Marriages do not simply work as they do not simply fail, they are made to work as they are made to fail.
