Do animals enter heaven the way humans do? More specifically pets.
I read somewhere that pets may enter heaven through their relationship with their owners, much like a human may enter heaven through his relationship with God. However, I don’t know if the site is reliable…
 
Some argue that the souls of animals are perishable and that it dies when the animal dies. Others argue that all souls are imperishable and that since animals cannot sin they must return to God. Still others claim that God permits those animals that would make us happy to go to heaven.

There is no official Church teaching on this matter. Catholics are free to debate and choose sides at their own whim.
