Do I confess one sin and not the other?

Good Afternoon,

A question about going to confession. I have 2 serious sins which need to be confessed, I am greatly sorry for one of them and not so much for the other or rather I can not say I would try to avoid this sin in the near future. I know that not listing all known sins makes the confession invalid, and I can’t confess something I plan to do again can I? Should I confess the one I am truly sorry for, or just wait until I can say I am sorry for both and will try to avoid both in the future.

Thank you,

Hi,

When the soldiers blind-folded Jesus, they punched Him in the face and then asked Him to tell them who had punched Him. Well, He knew full well who they were. They were the ones who couldn’t see.

They are who we are when we sin. If we plan to sin, then we are putting a blind fold on ourselves, but He is seeing how little we regard what He willingly endured for us because He loves us. Sin isn’t just breaking a rule. Sin is betraying Him.

I suggest that you spend time before the Blessed Sacrament or at least before a crucifix each day, thanking Him for all that He endured for you and asking Him for the strength to be faithful to Him every day. He will give you the strength. But be faithful to that time with Him. I will send you privately a reflection on His passion to help you focus.

Then there won’t be anything that you will ever prefer to being faithful to Him—and you will never have to ask about planning to commit a mortal sin again. You are in my prayers.
