Do I still have to fast before Communion?

I am age 69 Must I fast one hour before I receive commumion
 
Hi,

Of course, unless you can’t for health reasons. My mother is 97 and has been blessed with sufficient health to still fast before receiving Our Blessed Lord. I hope that you still have sufficient health to do so as well. Medication, by the way, does not break the fast.
