Years ago…it used to be people did not discuss religion and politics at work. I can’t believe how many threads there are about people discussing religion at work now.

That is blatantly untrue. Nowhere in the U.S. is the proposed conversation “against the law”. Where did you even get that idea?

It’s not “blatantly untrue”. She is correct. I have seen cases of this myself.

A lot of people still don’t discuss either politics or religion at work, unless their work directly relates to one or the other of those topics.

A handful of people just can’t seem to shut up about one or the other or both. Usually their workmates who don’t agree with their views will run when they see them coming, so they’ll end up mostly interacting with a little cadre of like-minded folks.
