Do RCIA members need to be remarried in church in order to receive their other sacraments?

I am currently attending the RCIA program and have enjoyed my journey the past 4 months. My husband was baptized catholic and does not have a religious background. I am being told by my church and the RCIA instructor that we must be remarried in church in order to continue this process. My husband and I are both uncomfortable with this. Becoming Catholic is a journey that I would like to take, not him. Do we have to be remarried in order for me to complete my other sacraments?
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

The issue is that your husband was baptized Catholic. Since he is considered a Catholic that means he was obligated to be married in the Catholic Church. The marriage is considered invalid because it lacked proper form.

The easiest way to validate your marriage is to simply repeat your vows before a priest or deacon. However, if this is problematic for you or your husband you could ask for a radical sanation. A radical sanation is a decree issued by the diocesan bishop stating that he accepts the original consent of the marriage as valid. A radical sanation is usually sought when one party to the marriage refuses to participate in a new ceremony for some reason.
