A sister from this order was seen a while back escorting someone into an abortion clinic. Though the order apologized for this I have to wonder, do they believe abortion is wrong?

Looking at their website, the sisters look like feminists and aspire to such things as peace and justice but not a word on abortion?

Hmm … let’s take a look at their mission statement:
Our Mission
As Sinsinawa Dominican women, we are called
to proclaim the Gospel
through the ministry of preaching and teaching
in order to participate in the building
of a holy and just society.
Vision 2006-2011
In a world graced by the Holy Spirit
and yet wounded by divisions,
exploitation, and oppression,
we are impelled by God’s tender mercy
to commit ourselves in partnership with others
to seek and foster right relationships
among all of God’s people
and with the earth that sustains us.
A statement about abortion per se normally has no place in a mission statement, unless it is a component of the charism of the order (compare sistersoflife.org/). But I trust you are able to make up your own mind about their stance on the abortion issue based on how the Sinsinawans articulate themselves here.

If they supported said sister’s actions, I’d think they’d refuse to apologize. So I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, and assume they’re pro-life until decisively proven otherwise.

Instead of asking this question on a forum where you will only get opinions, why don’t you just ask them? You have numerous ways of contacting them here:
