Soldiers, LEO’s, civilians who died fighting a defensive war/self defense for peace can go to heaven if they were on the right side/defending life and NOT the ones attacking innocent people. of colurse follow the legal limits of self defense/defensive war per CCC.
Remember, Jesus did NOT say defending one’s self or loved ones is evil. In fact, as early as Creation Time (per Revelation) the War in Heaven had to happen so the good angels with Michael kicked out evil angels and Satan their leader.
The Final Battle in Armageddon gonna happen too you know, whether figuratively or literally, bottomline is Jesus is gonna kick ass with His army VS Satan and his paganists army of demons and human followers…Just as History Channel said, “Jesus from Gentle Lamb to Merciless Warrior” (the episode on book of revelation)
So i am sure our troops fighting the jihadists can go to heaven or purgatory at a minimum…i dont know about the beheaders though
