Do the Miscarried of Christians have a better chance of being saved?

The official church teaching is that we hope for the unbaptized unborn. Is there greater hope for those children who would’ve been born to practicing Christians?

I have lost 4 children. I had two miscarriages, an embryo that passed away after being frozen, a living child born through IVF, and another miscarriage. I devoted my life to Christ after my child was born and before my last miscarriage. (As a note separate from this discussion, I am devastated over my IVF decision and beg God for forgiveness on a recurring basis, I’m so torn up about it. I may create a separate post about my experience some day).

I spend a lot of time mourning my lost children, but especially the first three. I wonder if they will suffer an eternal consequence because they passed away before my conversion. Is there any church theory that says the unborn child of a Christian has a better chance of going to Heaven than that of a non Christian?

I am so sorry to hear, may they rest in peace.

Understandable

Pray for them. Hell is a choice. Whether or not they have a better chance of going to Heaven is not up to me, but, I would like to think that’s where miscarried babies go (The Church DOES have funerals for unbaptized babies). By the way, I had a female friend who had a miscarriage that was really torn up over it, and my mom has lost three, I know it is not easy.

I’m pretty sure there is no such theory. God loves them all.

God judges each of us individually. God uses our mistakes for good. Don’t worry about what could’ve been etc. what has happened has happened and God has it under control and is both infinitely merciful and just (just doesn’t mean punishment it means perfectly just). He loves your children and you more than you can comprehend. Focus on repenting for whatever past sins you have done, and carrying out his will now and in the future. May God Bless you and all of your children.

My personal opinion since the Church doesn’t have an official stance on where unborn babies go*

My Mother also had some miscarriages, one day I hope and pray that God may give me the grace to receive heaven so I can meet my other brothers and sisters for the 1st time, I can’t wait!
