Do those in Heaven know the eternal fate of others?

Yes, according to Aquinas, there will be rejoicing in the justice of God.
This implies knowledge of the justice as well as who it is metered out to.

Do you mean do they know before the judgement is rendered to the other person? That is, do you mean do they know, for instance, your eternal fate even before you’ve died and gone to judgement?
Or do you mean to ask if they become aware of the judgement as it is rendered after your death?
I would imagine that they become aware of the judgement of others when that judgement is rendered, since all in Heaven are in complete union with God.

That’s a huge concern because if you have people you cared for on earth who are in Hell when you reach Heaven and you KNOW they’re in Hell wouldn’t this be a cause of great sorrow?

I’ve heard people say we won’t feel sorrow because our hearts will be in tuned to God (so to speak) and we will accept the choice they’ve made to be where they are… but instead I imagine that we will feel as much sorrow as God does for those who’ve chosen to be away from us. I just think emotion will be different though, I really don’t think it will be the same as it is here. Acceptance for their choice doesn’t negate being sad that they are apart from us and, more importantly, suffering because of their choices.

Anyway, my answer is 🤷 I have no idea.

I am sympathetic with your view and agree we really don’t know. But perhaps when we fully understand why people are in hell we will be relieved they are not with us in heaven. As for me I’m going to try to help everyone I love get into heaven.
