Ok this might be a weird (or obnoxious) question but I’m being serious.

Say you have to deal with some difficult people in your life. People who seem to have absolutely no respect for you. You may not know for sure what is in their hearts but by their actions it seems like they couldn’t care less about you.

Because of the circumstances, it isn’t like you can just go your separate ways. In fact the circumstances demand that you see them pretty frequently. So when you do have to see them, what do you do when they reach in for a hug?

Strange I know, that people who are described as “difficult” are reaching in for hugs. Trust me, there’s more than meets the eye 😦

But I mean, isn’t it kind of rude to deny them a hug even though they behave as if they don’t give a hoot about you? Or do you do an awkward move where you quickly grab their hand and shake it? Or give a high five? (okay now i’m being obnoxious :p)

But seriously, I just want to be as kind and civil as possible anytime I have to interact with these individuals. I actually haven’t seen them since February which makes all of this even weirder but the court date is not too far from now…

Your suggestions, thoughts, and prayers are highly welcomed 🙂

God bless

Offer a hand or ask, “Would you mind if we shake instead?” I think they’ll get the idea and not offer hugs in the future. Again, you could offer them a BIGGER hug and have fun with it. 😉

Cheers,
